Sr. Manager, Pricing- Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop pricing strategy, structure, guidance, governance, and implementation for strategic product launches and existing offerings, supporting Prior Authorization, Hub Express and AMP.
Be fully immersed in the iterations of deal reviews and negotiation as a trusted partner to the sales and account management team including sales presentations, negotiations, term sheets and contracts.
Analyze and understand industry market trends, competitor tactics and offerings, products, margin opportunities, and communicate to management as necessary.
Champion and lead standardization of new best practice processes, procedures, and templates related to product pricing and deal management.
Assist in achieving pricing objectives using analytic tools to develop pricing models, dashboards, trend reporting, profitability, margin, and savings analyses.
Build analytical insight across the dimensions of customer segments, products, and markets to find the right balance of trade.
Navigate and build relationships with key stakeholders with sales, account management, product, and other functional teams. Be a team player, and a positive influence on others.
Critical Skills:
10+ years leading strategic pricing and deal management initiatives resulting in significant, measurable profit growth.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills working with senior leaders across multiple functions (Product, Sales, Account Mgmt, Finance, and Operations) to make strong business decisions.
Ability to drive strong analytic and critical thinking in support of structured and unstructured business initiatives.
Assess challenging situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, make recommendations, and drive to problem resolution.
Additional Skills:
Comfortable working in a geographically diverse company and in a matrix reporting environment.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines
Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product and measurable impact.
Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations within the organizational parameters.
Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization
Experience with Pricing Optimization software a plus.
Education:
Undergraduate quantitative degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Economics
Advanced quantitative degree (MBA or M.S.) a plus.
