We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Head of Owned Channel Marketing to join our Corporate Marketing and Demand Generation team. This role is located in New York, NY, Boston, MA or Pittsburgh, PA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Senior leader in the marketing organization who can set the vision for the channels and work with other corporate marketing and line of business marketing colleagues to achieve our organizational goals.
- Develop a comprehensive strategy: Take the lead in creating a strategic plan for owned channel marketing that aligns with the overall marketing objectives of the organization. This includes setting goals, identifying target audiences, and determining the key messaging and content strategies for each owned channel.
- Drive prioritization across channels and identify new ways of delivering on business strategies leveraging the full owned channel ecosystem.
- Optimize channel performance: Continuously analyze the performance of each owned channel and identify areas for improvement. This could involve conducting A/B tests, monitoring key metrics, and implementing data-driven optimizations to increase engagement, conversion rates, and overall ROI.Primary responsibility.
- Foster collaboration: Work closely with other marketing teams, such as Paid Advertising and PR, to create integrated marketing campaigns that leverage owned channels effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design and content, to ensure a cohesive and impactful customer experience across all channels.
- Measure and report on results: Establish clear metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of owned channel marketing initiatives. Regularly report on the performance to key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for future strategies. By taking these actions, you can make a significant contribution as the Head of Owned Channel Marketing and drive the success of your team and the organization as a whole.
- Streamline operational efficiencies leveraging work front within the owned channel marketing team.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required.15+ years of related experience, with 5-7 years of management experience preferred.
- Experience as a senior leader within a marketing organization or agency.
- An overall knowledge of owned channels and how they can work together. Specifically with digital marketing channels, social media, campaign management and/or events.
- Problem-solving and decision-making: Ability to tackle complex challenges and making critical decisions. The individual should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, be able to think strategically, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- The individual must be able to clearly articulate goals, expectations, and strategies to team members. They should also foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging open communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing.
- Leadership and management experience: The individual should have a proven track record of leading and managing teams. Experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar industry or field, is essential. They should have the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a large team towards achieving goals and objectives.
- Financial services or securities industry experience a plus

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
