Description:

The Marketing Planner serves as the email & text channel expert and manages the integration of business category, e-commerce, brand and storewide marketing campaigns for our company and other specialty brands and initiatives.

The Marketing Planner must evaluate channel performance and make recommendations for future campaigns and is responsible for creating and maintaining weekly, monthly and annual marketing plans that achieve ROI goals. This person must ensure clear communication of email & text marketing campaigns & events to all key stakeholders.

Duties:

Develops integrated email & text marketing plans for our company within specified categories of business that achieve ROI goals

Partners with key stakeholders in Marketing-Planning, Merchandising and E-commerce to understand business needs

Defines channel communication plans based on business needs and determines how they are integrated into the overall channel plan and strategies

Applies learnings from historical channel performance to develop plans that will meet established benchmarks and drive sales, both online and in-store.

Understands the competitive environment and provides analysis on competitors' campaigns to key stakeholders

Collaborates with the CRM team to determine the target audience and circulation for each campaign

Reviews and Approves email subject lines and SMS copy that will increase customer engagement

Recommends test and learn strategies that allow us to continuously improve our program

Manages the flow of communication to ensure that key stakeholders are aligned, resulting in a positive experience for our customers

Reviews and approves email requests in the workflow management system and ensures that all required information has been provided

Coordinates coupon information by acquiring and providing critical information such as coupon offers, disclaimers and targeting

Responsible for the integration of non-category specific content (i.e. e-commerce, brand and storewide messaging) into category emails

Reviews and approves all emails and SMS campaigns during every stage of production. Provides final approval before deployment.

Maintains accurate weekly, monthly and annual channel calendars and provides timely and consistent communication to key stakeholders and various departments throughout the company.

Facilitates Monthly Channel Planning and Alignment Meetings with key stakeholders including Marketing-Planning, Merchandising, e-commerce Pricing & Promotions, and Site Merchandising

Collaborates with the Analytics & CRM teams to evaluate the success of each campaign

Submits requests for ad hoc reporting that will help us to better understand the performance of a specified campaign or group of campaigns and address business needs

Evaluates results and makes recommendations on future tactics

Uses data to create recommendations and presentations for monthly alignment meetings for each line of business

Will support channel testing plan to deliver insights to drive email engagement and revenue

Serves as the subject matter expert and participates in process design and implementation projects

Stays up to date on industry trends by collaborating cross-functionally with others, attending quarterly business reviews, reading white papers and attending conferences. Shares industry information with key stakeholders.

Will support development and execution of key strategic initiatives as outlined by Manager and/or Director, including, but not limited to email personalization efforts, Movable Ink and/or Certona optimization, Vendor Funding Strategies customer winback and re-engagement campaigns.

Requirements:

3 - 5 Years

CRM, Email Marketing, Marketing Planning

Solid understanding of the retail, e-commerce and email & SMS marketing industries and KPIs

Exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail

Self-motivated individual who is able to prioritize and multi-task, works well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines

Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues inside and outside the organization

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Compensation:

$25.34 - 33.78/hr W-2
