Oversee human resource functions for the School and serve as strategic advisor to School leadership, academic departments, and research centers.Develop trusted partnerships with School leadership to remain informed of personnel-related issues to help ensure effective and timely management and resolution.Advise on and develop job descriptions, new positions, reclassifications, salary adjustments, assignments, reorganizations and other related issues.Advise managers with recruitment and selection practices to help ensure successful hires. Work with the School's managers and supervisors to ensure timely and correct outcomes to performance management issues, to include advising on performance evaluations, setting clear work expectations, advising on managerial practices, coaching and counseling staff, conducting corrective action, and addressing complaints, grievances, and termination appeals.Ensure pay rates for staffing changes are consistent, competitive, and within budget. Manage the annual merit process for staff. Conduct workforce analysis, forecasting and planning. Conduct salary benchmarking studies.Serve on university-level advisory groups and committees. Serve as liaison for the School with the Provost's Office, Human Resource Services, Payroll Services, and other related offices for all human resource functions.Develop training programs, tools and resources to support the effective management of HR functions.Regularly communicate with HR contacts within the School on updates to regulations and business processes. Ensure compliance and consistency across units with policies, procedures, and laws.Leads a team of human resources professionals to include setting goals, assessing performance, and providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth.
