Job Summary In this role, you will provide technical and field support in the following Electric Transmission Construction areas: Construction Access Erosion and Sediment Control Site Rehabilitation Support may include analyzing and evaluating technical documentation, equipment, process improvements, field conditions and other programs for assurance that construction work is performed in accordance with Company policy, procedures, and/ore requirements. Normally, works under the direction of company construction work leader. Frequently exercises judgment in modifying the detail of work being performed to accommodate field conditions. Makes initial contact with customers and maintains communications when performing work on private property. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Construction Specialist I: 0-2 years of related experience in construction Construction Specialist II: 2+ years of related experience in construction Strong knowledge in multiple construction specializations Strong knowledge of operation, maintenance and technical construction applications Good knowledge of contract administration and OSHA safety standards Ability to apply engineering and construction theories and concepts to complex problems Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices Good oral and written communication skills Good decision making skills Good Computer skills and knowledge, including an ability to use Microsoft Office programs as well as ability to learn customized software applications Strong analytical, problem solving and abstract thinking skills Good technical writing skills Good planning, organizational, and project management skills Ability to work in a team environment under a team lead concept Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at multiple locations Ability to interact with the public. Education Requirements Education Level: Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education Preferred Disciplines: Environmental Science, Construction Management Licenses, Certifications, or Qualifications Description Associated certifications preferred: State and Federal Certifications for Erosion and Sedimentation Control, Responsible Land Disturber, Construction Management Working Conditions Travel 76- 100% Other Working Conditions Test Description No Testing Required Export Control Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
