Overview: We are seeking to hire either a Structural Engineer or Civil Engineer to support our client in Newport News, VA. This position will be focusing on facilities. Description: Candidate should have structural engineering experience to include performing structural evaluations, conducting building assessments, performing code review/interpretations and responding to emergent safety related issues in a fast paced, large industrial facility setting. Assist with performing unplanned event investigations and performing root cause analysis. Have project management, communication, organizational and computer skills. Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Qualifications: BS Degree in Engineering. 5+ years of relevant experience. Eligible for a US Secret Clearance. Additional Information: 1 opening available. Hybrid schedule flexibility. Pay Rate: $42-$55/hr. OT pays 1.5x Benefits offered. If you have an active clearance, you get bumped to the top of the list. If you're clearance eligible, you will be able to gain a clearance in this role. 1 step interview process.
