Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications for product design and operation, including structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment, and maintenance designs.
- Conduct damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and structural modeling analyses.
- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of structural design and analysis with limited supervision.
- Collaborate with teams of engineers and designers from various disciplines to integrate ship systems at structural interfaces.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of submarine requirements in engineering and design of deck structures, foundations, and platform arrangements.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 2 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of submarine requirements in engineering and design of deck structures, foundations, and platform arrangements.
- Ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of structural design and analysis.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to learn and operate older government-provided software, such as FORTRAN.
