Job Summary

The selected engineer will be responsible for overseeing several projects, providing guidance and direction to junior engineering staff, and presenting to senior leadership, Navy, government technical warrant holders, and SMEs. You will analyze, research, and develop structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic, or composite structural materials for product design or operation.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and structural modeling
  • Develop structural engineering specifications for product design or operation
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior engineering staff
  • Present to senior leadership, Navy, government technical warrant holders, and SMEs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 2 years of relevant exempt experience or Master's Degree with 0 year of relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of submarine requirements in engineering and design of deck structures, foundations, and platform arrangements
  • Ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in structural design and analysis
