Responsibilities
The Network/Systems Administration Specialist III will be in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Command in Panama City and will work with NSWC PCD Network Operations. Leads network and system administration projects as assigned by Network Operations.
- Provides guidance and support to the Mid-level and Junior Network and System Administration Specialists.
- Assists with technical and administrative functions of network and system administration to include troubleshooting outages/issues, providing technical solutions, configuration of network infrastructure, configuration of physical and virtual servers, maintenance of network devices and servers, and configuration of software components.
- Responsible for all aspects of configuration management including documentation such as drawings, standard operating procedures, RMF artifacts, and literature.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in STEM from an accredited institution preferred.
Experience and Requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience with configuration of Cisco Networking Products, VMWare products, Windows Server, RHEL, and administrative management tools.
- Capable of implementation and analysis of DoD IT requirements including STIGs, RMF requirements, and prior work experience with the DoD networks.
- Preferred experience with Navy RMF and Navy and NAVSEA networks.
- Senior level certifications (e.g. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are preferred
Certification: IAT Level III Certification required such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation or a Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC).
Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance.
