OCH Technologies is a certified Small Business 8(a), a CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Services and Development as well as an ISO:9001 Certified for Quality Management. OCH is expanding and is currently seeking a Network and Computer System Administrator (SME) to join our team of uniquely talented, diverse professionals for a large Government project in Elizabeth City, NC. Qualified candidate will have the demonstrated technical expertise combined with communication capabilities to interface with all levels of management.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide network Engineering services to maintain the command & control systems in all versions.
  • Provide network engineering and technical support services to include participating in site visits, designing last mile solutions, installations, technical repairs etc.
  • Support remote users and technical support at various locations and to aviation forces for routers, switches, data units and associated equipment of commercial and military satellite communication systems.
  • Assist while implementing engineering solutions to maintain networking hardware and firmware, support lab integration efforts and enhance network security.
  • Assist field units with networking causalities, approximately 500 remote assists are required per year.
  • Provide daily support to aviation management and development of a split topology architecture, separating classified and unclassified enclaves.
  • Coordinate with network engineers to ensure successful integration of aviation system networking technologies on operational assets.
  • Support the daily administration of the infrastructure including maintenance of lab domain accounts.
  • Maintenance of lab data storage, including backup/archive.
  • Maintenance of lab simulation systems.
  • Recommending improvements to lab infrastructure.
  • Setup and management of lab configuration tools.
  • Support the administration of the aviation production baselines.
  • Maintenance of production data storage, including backup and archive.
  • Recommending improvements to production infrastructure.

Requirements:


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Eight (8) years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field. Individual in this role is expected to be is considered expert in network and systems administration.
  • Knowledge of configuring STIG’s for the operating systems (Red HAT Linux, Windows).
  • Knowledge of MSSL engineered tools (RIS, Engineering laptops) for production aviation systems.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with DHS or USCG is desired.

Work Authorization and Clearance

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain secret security clearance.
