Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of our data center and integrated network systems. Your role will involve supporting field assessments, installations, and ongoing operational assistance. You will be responsible for the architecture and development of communication systems encompassing voice, video, radio-frequency, and data technologies. Additionally, you will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of multiple computing systems across various operating environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the performance and reliability of a collection of computers operating on one or more platforms.
  2. Ensure the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  3. Establish administrator and service accounts.
  4. Maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  5. Engage with users and assess vendor solutions.
  6. Recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinate installations, and facilitate backup recovery processes.
  7. Develop and enforce policies and standards for the utilization of computing resources.
  8. Possibly program in an administrative language.
  9. Design and execute testing strategies and document outcomes.
  10. Provide guidance and training to end-users.
  11. Offer mentorship and leadership to junior staff members.
  12. Stay updated on relevant technologies as assigned.
  13. Participate in special projects as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

Active DOD Secret Clearance is required.

Professional Certification: Must possess and maintain current Information Assurance Technician IAT Level III Certification.

Desired Skills:
1. In-depth understanding of the principles, methodologies, and techniques involved in network administration and support.
2. Extensive knowledge of associated hardware and software.

3. Professional certification in specific technologies may be required based on job responsibilities.

Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
