Develops performance standards for CITC and evaluates work performance of subordinates.
Interviews candidates for positions in the service; recommends appointments, promotions, and reassignments to unit positions.
The incumbent is an executive level liaison with all elements of the VHA, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN), and Chief of Staff and uses expert knowledge of and specialized experience in the management of health care delivery systems to support and enhance CITC executive level program and operational initiatives that span three states.
The incumbent provides administrative oversight and authoritative planning in developing and managing national level data and reporting systems affecting all levels of the CITC program daily operations.
The incumbent provides technical and administrative supervision throughout the VASLCHCS to include the main facility, and nine community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC) through subordinate supervisors and managers.
The incumbent uses technical and program knowledge to provide the VASLCHCS Executive Leadership Team with data and reporting that may require significant data analysis and interpretation.
The incumbent leads, coordinates, plans, organizes, and carries through to completion program plans, program/policy analysis, data collection, legislative interpretation and analytical studies involving Federal and VA program and policies.

Promotion Potential:
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
