Compliance Specialist The Compliance Specialist works in a team under the Compliance Director with a principle focus of reviewing and processing certification paperwork for all residents and applicants. Job responsibilities include: Review and process all residents and applicants Tax Credit certification paperwork. Communicate daily with onsite team members in a professional manner; Assist Compliance Coordinator with third parties for resolution on audit findings. Address any areas of concern during compliance file reviews under the direction of the Compliance Director; Process monthly compliance report, date entry when necessary, and year end reporting. Qualifications Working knowledge of Section 42 tax credit (LIHTC) and Section 8 program; Tax credit certifications (WSHFC Fundamental and/or Advanced certificate, HCCP, C3P or other nationally recognized certification credential) or ability to obtain credentials is a plus; Directly related experience in property management of LIHTC investments is preferred; Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts preferred; Outstanding organizational skills and communication skills; Provide compliance leadership with clarity and professionalism; Ability to balance competing priorities and tight deadlines; Ability to work independently and manage personal work calendar; Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar property management software required.
