Compensation range for this role is: $19-19.35 /hr

$500 sign-on bonus offered to eligible participants hired while the program is in effect, paid in two installments. Bonuses are subject to all applicable taxes. All other rules governing this program will apply. Current employees and contract workers are not eligible.

As a Specialist, Claims in Last Mile at RXO, you will manage and administer claims on behalf of contracted carriers and technicians. You’ll also review property damage claims from Profit Center Managers, complete the investigations and resolve the claims. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Conduct claims investigations, including recording statements, securing public records, and analyzing report findings
  • Ensure insurance compliance of contracted carriers and technicians, in accordance with the terms of their contract
  • Review and audit estimates and settle claims within prescribed limits of authority
  • Examine claims forms and other records to confirm coverage for loss or damage
  • Issue payments or deny claims in a timely manner, in accordance with policy conditions
  • Effectively negotiate settlements with contractors, adjusters, or any insured representative
  • Recognize and document subrogation and salvage opportunities, and refer accordingly
What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:
  • 1 year of claims adjusting experience
It’d be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management
  • Adjuster’s license
  • 1 year of experience adjusting property claims
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • Knowledge of contracts and transportation industry claims
  • Ability to confidently resolve issues and negotiate fair settlements
  • Solid written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
