The Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting the sales team cross-functionally in order to generate profitable growth. This individual will handle details of the business including sales reporting, inventory management, meeting preparation, meeting follow-up, warehouse communications and working with all aspects of the organization (Design, Production, Marketing, etc...). Time management, prioritization of responsibilities and attention to detail are all critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally following up with retailers on opportunities and open issues
  • Managing retailer-based portals and systems to analyze sales and prepare opportunities
  • Handle retailer Purchase Orders, monitor shipping, and update inventory
  • Work with Customer Service and the Distribution Center to solve problems, ensure timely shipping, and oversee accurate packing of orders
  • Prepare materials, samples, and physical spaces for sales meetings in a timely manner
  • Working with Design and Production on future needs
  • Take on special projects as deemed necessary by the President or VP of Sales

Qualifications

  • Ability to work on site 5 days per week. People seeking remote work need not apply. Job is located in Chatsworth, California
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent follow-up and attention to detail
  • Exemplary organizational skills
  • Flexibility and able to shift priorities easily
  • Professional manner. Ability to freely converse with upper-level executives in, and outside of, the organization
  • Ability to work well with others on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel to stores to research assortment opportunities
  • Spanish-speaking a plus
  • Apparel experience a plus
