We have an important role to play in securing the region's clean and reliable energy future and seek folks from a variety of disciplines to join us In this role you will be responsible for developing automated testing strategies and frameworks to meet functional and non-functional requirements of applications supporting the business needs of ISO. This person will work with Business Analysts and Software Development teams to create automated test scripts, integrate with CI/CD pipelines and execute them. This person will also be responsible for mentoring junior testers and consultants assigned to the projects.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks that will form the backbone of the automation process
  • Write, execute, review, and improve automated test cases, resulting in higher quality software releases
  • Review business test criteria and test cases with business analysts to ensure alignment with business requirements and goals
  • Collaborate with development teams throughout the development process to continuously improve testing processes, scope, and quality
  • Evaluate current testing practices, implement best practices, and optimize the breadth and depth of automated testing to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies by researching new tools, attending workshops and conferences
  • Grow team expertise by mentoring junior staff through training, knowledge sharing, and support

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related area
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing with 5+ years in automated testing frameworks in consumer-facing applications and APIs
  • 5+ years of experience in generating automated test cases and scripts using Selenium, Cypress and Cucumber frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in Junit, Postman, TestNG, Git and JIRA Software
  • Demonstrated experience in Selenium WDIO, Selenium GridHub, and WebPack
  • Demonstrated Experience in scripting and configuration tools
  • Experience in CI/CD tools and frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience programming in SQL and Python
  • Desired but not required:
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and ECS
    • Familiarity with IaC tools and methodologies, such as Terraform
    • Experience working in Agile development environments
    • Familiarity working in cloud (preferably AWS) and on-premise environments
    • ISTQB
    • Any SDET Boot camp certification
