Employment Type: Temp to hire
Compensation: $19.50 - $22 per hour
Schedule: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday
We operate on a hybrid schedule. Remote: Monday and Friday. In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 1215 Cushman Avenue, San Diego, CA 92110

Job Description :

As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the HR functions of our agency. You will assist with a variety of HR tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and assist with the onboarding process.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support the administration of timesheets and payroll.
  • Assist with employee relations activities, including addressing employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Coordinate training sessions and support employee development initiatives.
  • Prepare and update HR documents, such as employee handbooks and performance appraisal.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
