Position Summary:

The HR Assistant - Under the direction of the Sr. HR Manager, is responsible for maintaining and updating employee records. New Hires, Benefit programs, and assist employees on all related issues.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answers routine inquiries on benefits, HR policies and procedures.
  • Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications and benefits.
  • Prepares new hire paperwork and benefits material, for new employees.
  • Enters temporary employees into Ultipro system, provides new badges and masks to employees.
  • Verifies unemployment insurance claims and refers exceptions to HR Manager.
  • Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations.
  • Prepare warning letters for violation of the company attendance policy, and send those to supervisor as needed.
  • Provide employees with necessary forms for payroll deductions, beneficiary change forms, and name and address change forms. Initiate appropriate changes with payroll department and/or corporate office.
  • Assists the Sr. Human Resources Manager and HR Department, as needed, with organizing employee activities.
  • Print temporary employees timecards on a weekly basis.
  • Orders department office supply, and employee badges.
  • Assist other departments with meeting setup and lunches as needed.
  • Perform other work as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • 2-3 year of related experience in Human Resources
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail is MUST
  • Excellent written, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast past environment, functional expertise, skills, and priorities: effective as both a team player and individual contributor.
  • Must communicate with Management with timely, candid, and accurate information, options, and recommendations.
  • Capability to juggle numerous tasks at once, work well under deadline pressure, and the ability to prioritize workload against deadlines and strategic importance of programs.

Pay rate: $20+ DOE
