YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CRISIS INTERVENTIONIST

As a Crisis Interventionist in St. Clair County, you're always ready to make a meaningful impact. When a crisis call comes in, you and your team respond immediately, providing on-the-spot support for individuals of all ages. Using evidence-based tools, you conduct thorough assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and support needed while calming the situation with your expertise and compassion.

You offer brief therapeutic follow-ups, ensuring clients feel supported and connected. Detailed and accurate clinical documentation is a priority, maintaining compliance with COA and other regulatory standards. Effective communication within your team and across departments is key, particularly for suicide prevention and addressing crisis needs. You assist clients in transitioning to other services and connecting families with vital community resources. Whether handling after-hours crisis calls or collaborating on cases, your dedication ensures every individual receives the therapeutic and mental health support they deserve.

Here's what we need from our Crisis Interventionists:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, or related human service field
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability and willingness to actively participate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
  • A valid driver's license with proof of automobile insurance
  • Experience in mobile crisis response (preferred)
