ARE YOU THE CRISIS INTERVENTIONIST I OUR TEAM NEEDS?

  • 21+ years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, or related human service field
  • Ability and willingness to actively participate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Previous mobile crisis response experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Engaging personality
  • Willingness and ability to flex schedule as the program needs change
  • Skilled in providing diagnostic, preventive, and/or therapeutic services to individuals
  • Knowledge, personal qualities, and practice skills to work effectively with professionals in other organizations and from other disciplines and to provide services in a manner that reflects understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism

WHAT VITAL ASSISTANCE DO YOU PROVIDE?

This behavioral health role with our human services nonprofit works a full-time schedule.

As a Crisis Interventionist I, you jump into action, responding immediately to behavioral health crises. You thrive in a collaborative team environment, where effective communication is key to meeting the needs of those in crisis. You provide essential brief therapeutic interventions and ensure thorough, timely documentation while maintaining regulatory compliance. You are critical in assisting clients through transitions and connecting families with vital community resources. Your work with mental health also involves collaborating on suicide prevention practices and offering after-hours crisis support as needed.
