What we are looking for

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team in Arlington, VA.

The Director of Accounting will report to the CEO and will direct accounting activities, managerial accounting, and oversee the financial activities of the company. As head of the accounting department, they will manage and take an active "hands-on" role in all aspects of accounting such as financial controls, internal policies and procedures, payroll, financial reporting, bookkeeping, month end closing, budgeting, pricing modeling and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will be able to balance superisory responsibilities with "hands-on" accounting activities.

Location: Hybrid Remote (2-3 Days per week in office)

The successful candidate will be accountable to:
  • Manage, participate, perform in all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Monitor cash and funding balances.
  • Prepare and organize financial statements.
  • Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports.
  • Manage the quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Advise on financial analyses and decision-making in the areas of budgets, capital expenditures, and contracts.
  • Organize information and statements for audits and both internal and external auditors.
  • Define, benchmark, and implement accounting best practices.
  • Ensure company complies with all applicable tax/finance laws and regulations.
What you bring

Experience, Education & Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
  • 10+ Years of related experience
  • 7+ Experience managing a DCAA compliant timekeeping system.
  • 7+ Experience using Deltek Costpoint
  • Proven experience as a Deltek CostPoint Manager, preferably within a government contracting or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Deltek CostPoint and Deltek modules including Accounting, CRM & Contracts, Planning, Projects, Materials, People, Time & Expense, Reports & Analytics, and Admin.
  • Proficiency in configuring, administering, and supporting Deltek CostPoint, including user access controls, security settings, and system configurations.
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly desired
