We have an exciting new position opening at our East Meadow Store for a Human Resources Professional who has light experience working within a retail environment. This PT Human Resources Administrator will work autonomously and efficiently to ensure best practices for the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations as assigned by their corporate Human Resources Business Partner. This position is responsible for the daily Human Resources functions within the store, working collaboratively with the Store Manager, VP of Human Resources and all other managers, assistant managers and personnel, providing store and employee support, HR Generalist functions, recruiting, employee relations and all other functions as it pertains to HR within a store environment. Responsibilities Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests, providing appropriate assistance.Re-directing HR related calls and distribute correspondence to the appropriate person on the HR team.Maintaining records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are metLiaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)Assisting supervisors and the management team in performance management procedures.Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the store teams agendaOther duties and functions as assigned Additional Responsibilities Facilitating the interview process at the store level. This includes interviewing, presenting offers of employment, training, scheduling, and orientation. Coordinate training sessions and seminarsPerform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hiresProduce and submit reports on general HR activityAssisting in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalentBilingual (Spanish) is as plusAny experience in human resources and/or relevant human resources/administrative position support role a plusMust be computer literate with high proficiency with MS Office SuiteMust have experience working within databasesAbility to learn ATS softwareIn-depth understanding of sourcing tools, such as resume databases and online communities is a plusOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to keep confidential information on a day to day basisGood organizational and time management skills. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions.
