Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to manage our HR functions and operations. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and proactive professional with a robust background in human resources management, encompassing recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, FMLA administration, and payroll processing. This position will be essential in supporting our workforce and fostering a constructive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle, including job advertisements, candidate evaluations, interviews, and onboarding processes.
  • Formulate and execute HR policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Address employee relations matters fairly and consistently, offering guidance and support to both managers and staff.
  • Manage employee benefits programs and act as the primary contact for inquiries related to benefits.
  • Organize training and development programs to enhance employee capabilities and performance.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of HR records and uphold data integrity within our HRIS.
  • Supervise FMLA administration, including eligibility assessments, documentation, and compliance with regulations.
  • Accurately and timely process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as necessary to promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, emphasizing generalist functions.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience with FMLA administration and familiarity with associated regulations.
  • Proficient in payroll processing and payroll software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with care.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not mandatory.
