POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Administrator will function as a business partner to internal and external customers and support all functions of the human resources department including recruitment, compensation, benefits, safety, employee relations, performance management, staff development and administrative tasks. They will support the mission and values of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta by adhering to and assisting in the alignment of all tasks and functions to best practices and policies that comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Additionally, the person who fills this position will work onsite under the direction of the Human Resources Director at the new Augusta location

KEY ROLES & ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the creation of an exceptional candidate and employee experience.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screening and interviews
  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, including reference checks, background checks, etc.
  • Manage the organization's talent database within ADP.
  • Develop and maintain precise job descriptions.
  • Maintain and analyze employment-related data and prepare reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with administration and leadership to address staffing requirements.
  • Offer assistance and support to applicants, new hires, and employees during designated hours, trainings, and events.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and extensive knowledge in addressing both internal and external inquiries.
  • Engage in continuous professional development related to the job and establish connections with other HR professionals and industry groups.
  • Fulfill other related duties and responsibilities as necessary or as assigned
RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal: Maintains daily contact the Director of Human Resources.
  • External: Maintains contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR combination of post-secondary education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of similar work experience, preferably in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple and a high-volume of tasks.
  • Effective and productive working independently and taking initiative.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with minimal errors.
  • Strong people and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient use of technology, particularly Microsoft Office Suite applications, spreadsheets, Talent databases, etc.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.


ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical internal office environment. Possible travel to club locations within the Greater Augusta area. Consistent Internal contact with employees, applicants, volunteers, and business partners. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise.
