Mission: The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our community through selfless service under the sign of love.
Summary:
To provide services alongside of case workers and/or in their absence to ensure a smooth transition from airport arrival to clients' permanent or transition house under the supervision of the Program Director, The Program Case Transportation Specialist is responsible for the Reception & Placement needs and support for all newly arriving refugees. This person will be placing clients into their newly acquired housing thus making the welcoming process a positive experience, as each refugee begins their new life in the U.S.
Position Responsibilities:
- *Anticipating transportation needs of the program and coordinating efforts to complete
- *Manage workflow and workload assignments in a timely manner
- *Communicate with caseworkers and clients regarding any transportation or food purchases.
- *Ensure that the assigned staff have completed the Housing Safety Checklist and Supply documentation forms for all newly arriving refugees
- *Ensuring that all vehicle registration and insurance documentation is available in vehicles.
- *Ensuring that documentation for transportation is completed in accordance with agency policy
- Complete program monthly reports and send to program Director for review and submission
- Report on activities, meetings, and special client concerns to the program manager and other staff during required staff meetings.
- Assist with organizing the Group Cultural Orientation.
- Handle concerns regarding client situations or program issues with appropriate staff immediately
- Other duties as assigned by Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Must have clean driving record
- Minimum Knowledge of State and Federal Contracts and Grants.
- Extensive working knowledge of Program Manuals and Operational Guidelines.
- Knowledge of client files documentation and record keeping
- Skilled in using computer, various software, email and internet.
- Skilled in organization and time management.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position include _50_% daytime and _50_% night and overnight.
