Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking a highly skilled and creative Pattern Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a degree in fashion with 3-5 years experience in pattern making and possess expertise in problem solving, hand draping, hand pattern drafting, pattern alterations and sewing, particularly with woven fabrics for dresses, blouses, and skirts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Utilize hand draping techniques, pattern making, and sewing skills to develop prototypes, create initial mock-ups, and produce final samples.
  • Work proficiently with a variety of fabrics and utilize the appropriate sewing techniques, ensuring precision and accuracy in sample creation.
  • Apply feedback from designers by making necessary adjustments to prototypes in order to achieve the desired fit and aesthetic.
  • Collaborate closely with designers to interpret their concepts and translate them into final garments.
  • Problem-solve to create desired silhouettes and trend appropriate details based on designers vision.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Role Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience as a Pattern Maker/ Technical Designer.
  • Proficiency in hand draping, pattern making, and sewing techniques, with a focus on woven fabrics for dresses, blouses, and skirts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving design requirements and project priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
