Job Summary
Under direction and within the scope of department policies and guidelines, assists in the Alternative Courts/Specialty Programs functions with defendants/clients.
Job Description

All candidates conditionally offered transfer, promotion or initial hiring into a DOT/safety-sensitive position shall submit to testing for drugs and alcohol and test negative before performing any job functions that are safety-sensitive or require a CDL. External job applicants with a confirmed positive drug or alcohol test result shall be denied employment and shall be required to wait one year before applying for another position within Tulsa County.

Essential Job Functions
  • Document criminal records and references.
  • May complete backgrounds, interview clients, collect client data, assess the data and determine the client's eligibility.
  • Compile data for client file.
  • Act as a liaison between the District Attorney's Office and Judge/Court, and the client.
  • Submit client's files with recommendations to the Court for action.
  • Supervises clients with or without a monitoring device.
  • May conduct weekly warrants checks on clients.
  • Coordinates and verifies the client's release from custody and court appearance dates and times.
  • Prepare court reports
  • Notify Lead Community Corrections Case Manager or appropriate Alternative Court Programs Representative of any program violations.
  • May attend client court hearings.
  • May attend staffings for Alternative Court Program.
  • May install and supervise clients on electronic/alcohol monitoring equipment.
  • May supervise a caseload.
  • May be subject to on-call status.
  • May collect urinalysis samples.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field of study; and 2 year's satisfactory full-time paid employment in criminal justice or a related field of work; or equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of full-time paid employment in a court services program or related work, with a maximum substitution of two years.
