PBS Facility Service is seeking a highly motivatedand skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. What you will do:
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with user inquiries.
  • Maintain, repair, and upgrade computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
  • Set up and manage network connections, addressing connectivity issues and ensuring data security.
  • Implement and enforce IT security protocols, monitor for security threats, and respond to incidents.
  • Perform regular data backups and develop data recovery procedures in case of system failures or data loss.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and support requests.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on the use of software and hardware, as well as best practices for IT security.
  • Participate in planning and executing IT system upgrades, expansions, and procurement activities.
  • Monitor IT systems for performance and reliability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) responsibilities, including configuring and securing mobile devices, enforcing security policies, and ensuring compliance with MDM protocols.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to improve IT policies and procedures.
  • Wireless network management and support
  • Maintain and update active directory password security protocol for logical org hierarchy.
What it takes to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in providing IT support in a professional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant industry certifications a (e.g. Comp TIA A+. MSFT IT Professional) a plus
  • Weekends and evening availability a must.
  • HRIS/CRM Experience a plus. IE: Zoho, QuickBooks, Viventium
