Description

International Code Council (ICC) is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team and provide insights and recommendations to support our strategic decision-making. This position will be responsible for analysis of business processes, financial reports, and KPIs using PowerBI and other tools.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work closely with senior management and various business units to understand their performance drivers, to provide data analysis and process improvement support.

You will also gather business requirements and model business processes to support business planning and efficiency initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, information systems, or a related field, and at least 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role. You should also have strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in PowerBI, Excel, and other financial software.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers business intelligence from sources including, but not limited to, company data, industry reports, public data, or qualitative data from business staff.
  • Analyzes financial data and prepares reports, provides forecasting support through modeling.
  • Compiles business intelligence on operations, sales, membership, conducts statistical analyses to develop strategies and support actionable recommendations.
  • Work with users and stakeholders on initiatives to streamline finance operations, identifying areas for process change and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize ERP systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Assists business managers in establishing and tracking KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
  • Identify data patterns and trends to propose solutions and strategies for business challenges or new projects.
  • Produces reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate progress on projects or goals to management.
  • Document all processes and data used in data summaries or analyses.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity across various sources and systems.
  • Collaborates with business staff across the company to understand the needs of the company and responds to inquiries for support.
  • Performs related duties for all departments and subsidiaries who request data or analytical support.

Essential Skills and Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information technology, finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial processes and information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, Quicksight, Excel, or other financial reporting software
  • Proficiency developing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Perform complex data queries and data analysis, including integrating data from disparate data sources.
  • Experience in project management and change management could be beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.
  • Collaborate across all levels of the organization and with cross functional teams.
  • Great Plains and/or Dynamics 365 Finance experience preferred.
