When you join us at Glaukos, you will be a part of the first company to bring to market Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS), the micro-invasive procedure which revolutionized the treatment and management of glaucoma. In 2012, we launched our first MIGS device-the iStent-in the United States, followed by our next-generation iStent inject device in September 2018.

Our global headquarters is located in Aliso Viejo, California with additional locations in San Clemente, California and Burlington, Massachusetts.

How will you make an impact?

The Sr. Regional Business Manager will achieve quarterly sales objectives by selling to targeted ophthalmic surgeons within their territory. The Sr. RBM is responsible for training and helping to integrate the iStent, iDose, and other Glaucoma technologies into their assigned practice(s). The Sr. RBM will attend surgeries and help the surgeon to achieve the desired surgical outcomes for the patient and the customer while managing the territory for the best return on investment.

What will you do?

  • Prospecting by initiating sales calls to sell the surgeon on the Glaukos iStent and initiate surgical wet-labs to train the surgeon.
  • Attend the initial iStent surgeries until the surgeon is confident and skilled to perform the cases.
  • Attend surgeries as needed to update on new techniques to improve surgical outcomes.
  • Train the office staff and the doctor to recognize and convert patients to the iStent technology using Glaukos Practice System (GPS).
  • Work with the surgeon and staff to educate and assist in getting proper reimbursement for the Glaukos iStent.
  • Attend targeted meetings as directed to increase sales lead opportunities and protect existing business.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Business or Marketing preferred.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of medical sales experience (minimum 3 years surgical Ophthalmic experience required).
  • 4 years of ophthalmic pharmaceutical experience highly desired
  • The preferred candidate would have both ophthalmic surgical and pharmaceutical experience
  • Experience developing and expanding new territories.
  • Proven experience meeting and exceeding targeted goals
  • Ability to build relationships and interact with all levels
  • Proven ability to build and retain customer base
  • Experience with tracking software - Sugar CRM a plus
  • Ability to work within a budget
  • Ability to comply with procedures and processes
