  3. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prompt and regular attendance
  • Supports the vision, mission and goals of Liberty College and Career Academy
  • Prepares, maintains, and executes daily lesson plans
  • Carries out the duties of teaching the associates assigned by the administration
  • Acts as a resource person in the classroom and in the school
  • Deals justly and considerately with associates, other staff, and parents
  • Evaluates associate performance and programs
  • Works cooperatively with the school administration and others in authority
  • Confers and counsels with parents and associates through individual or group conferences and written reports following the guidelines of the school administration
  • Supplies to the administration such complete and accurate reports as may be required. Such reports include, but are not limited to, personnel forms, attendance reports, grade books, report cards, lesson plans, book and equipment inventories, lunchroom accounting, permanent records, reading and math folders, etc.
  • Serves on committees and other educational programs assigned by the administration
  • Performs such duties as may be assigned by the supervisor including, but not limited to, morning or afternoon duty, bus duty, supervision of restrooms, halls, assembly programs, clubs, and other associate activities.
  • Arrives at his/her assigned duty station or school at designated time and does not leave until the designated time except with the approval and the permission of the CEO
  • Participates in professional learning community activities, attends professional meetings, and meets all requirements to maintain certification(s) needed for this position
  • Uses the prescribed course of study and textbooks in his/her class and follows the prescribed curriculum
  • Assumes responsibility for his/her instructional area and all of its contents. Secures area before leaving each day
  • Prepares and is responsible for seeing that his/her substitute teacher gets complete, appropriate lesson plans in a timely fashion
  • Assumes responsibility for instructional materials, technology resources and other items furnished by the school system
  • Checks email and assigned mail box daily; assumes responsibility for keeping equipment and room/area clean and in good order
  • Follows the rules and regulations of LCCA, District and State as well as follows any federal mandates
  • Coordinates and supervises associate internships at local healthcare facilities; supervises associates as they complete internship activities at sites assigned
  • Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Superintendent of Schools
