Qualifications:

  • Possession of CISSP or an equivalent IAM Level III certification is mandatory.
  • Relevant CE certification from DoD M series is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing documentation and related tasks supporting RMF.
  • 7+ years of comprehensive cybersecurity knowledge, skills, and abilities, including:
    • Proficiency in network and host-based security devices (e.g., Intrusion Prevention Systems, Firewalls, etc.) and their role in secure data transmission.
    • Familiarity with security requirements, testing, assessment, and validation procedures across various environments.
    • Knowledge of information security technologies (e.g., cryptography, vulnerability assessment, SIEM).
    • Understanding of Federal and DoD security directives, including STIGs and FISMA.
    • Awareness of NIST and commercial best practices.
    • Familiarity with Department of Army and NETCOM security guidelines.
    • Ability to understand DoD directives related to RMF implementation.
    • Exemplary professionalism in written and verbal communication.
  • Must possess a SECRET security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the deployment of approved changes and upgrades to systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IA standards and maintain necessary documentation for RMF.
  • Support resource allocation for patch deployment.
  • Verify compliance criteria during hardware/software testing.
  • Manage the overall cybersecurity program, including compliance monitoring and incident response.
  • Provide necessary documentation and artifacts for RMF accreditation packages.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, security testing, and contingency planning.
  • Maintain documentation to support the ATO process.
  • Develop strategies for continuous monitoring of security controls.
  • Coordinate with designated personnel to track and report security control implementations.
  • Gather and prepare documentation for remediation actions.
  • Manage the Authorize Information System process.
  • Develop and track POA&Ms based on findings.
  • Monitor security controls and recommend remediation activities.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to address cybersecurity concerns.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and provide analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with command security policies through regular monitoring.
  • Manage incident response efforts and maintain incident logs.
  • Develop training schedules for incident response exercises.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of security policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate cloud technologies for risk management.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity tasks with relevant teams.
