Assistant Sales Manager for Industrial Materials

Job Description
A global supplier of industrial gas and materials is seeking a sales assistant manager to support industrial material group. This position includes activities such as account management, new business development, project tracking/management, and budget generation/management.
This position will also support out newly expanding business trading (export and distribution) of industrial gases such as helium.
Helium and other industrial gases are used in various fields such as semiconductors and medicine, and electronics field.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions
- Prepare and propose price quotations for both existing and new customers while ensure customers and products registration have been established.
- Contact customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve customer's complains ain a quick and effective matter.
- Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and strategy in support of Business Group objectives.
- Maintain and expand customer portfolio to outline business needs.
- Oversee all necessary documentation to ensure it meets standard compliance procedures, client specifications, and logistical requirements.
- Monitor and review credit information and establish customers'' and suppliers' credit limits in conjunction with Sales Staff and the credit department.
- Continue to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks.
- Manage timeline and deliverables for Helium Supply Chain Projects and other minerals related projects.
- Establish and mange required contracts with all members of supply chain partners.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, chemistry, material science and/or a combination of t raining and experience that indicates ability to do the job.
- Relevant experience in sales /marketing efforts ( Industrial Gas Industry related experience is a huge plus)
- Excellent and efficient communication and negotiation skills required.
- Knowledge of international trade and foreign currency exchange is preferred.
- Travel requirement up to 50%
- Japanese language skills are big plus.
