About the Job
Trinseo has an opening for a Technical Sales Representative (TSR) to be located in the Midwest. The purpose of this role is to deliver aggressive growth in the CASE business penetrating the Midwestern USA region. This will be accomplished by maintaining existing business and account management and through developing new accounts within new applications and new markets.
ResponsibilitiesCommercial account responsibility:
- Develop sales at CASE business accounts: Manage an existing customer base, to deliver growth for Trinseo. Account management, distributor management, prospecting, negotiating within the assigned territory
- Assist in development of segment strategies, competitive assessments, target customers, value propositions and product development for our targeted business development markets
- Keep abreast of all our new products, services and position into customer base
- Provide up to date forecasting, competitive data, and market news
- Demonstrate sales excellence behaviors and inspire excellence in others
- Develop technical presentation skills and materials
- Leverage account planning tools, margin management tools, and electronic technology to develop and manage plans for accounts within the portfolio of business
- Provide customers with best-in-class technical support
- Identify, generate, and communicate the technical value for the customer
- Deliver CDA-projects to qualify new product solutions in alignment with the business strategy
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or other relevant engineering study (chemistry, material science,...)
- Demonstrated 5 years' technical sales experience in the specialty Adhesive, Coating or Construction chemicals, preferably in the latex binder industry
- Technical understanding in Adhesive, Construction and Coatings applications
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence, negotiate, build trust, build effective relationships, and key account management
- Strong business acumen
- Demonstrated ability to utilize sales techniques including Sales Force, lead generation, networking, and consultative selling.
