The Position:

Job Duties:

  • Provide first-level support for IT related issues and inquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Collaborate with the German IT team to identify and implement improvements
  • Assist with NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, escalating complex issues to senior German IT staff as necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions using the ticketing system
  • Assist in the implementation and adherence to IT policies and procedures
  • Provide user training and support for basic IT functions and software applications
  • Analysis and rectification of technical hardware and software problems
  • Client virtualization (Citrix)
  • Configuration and maintenance of the network infrastructure (switches, access points, etc.)
  • Creation and updating of system documentation
  • Purchase, install and configure hardware/software for Somic equipment, (laptops, printers, copiers, phones, etc.)
  • Assist in the set-up and deployment of new workstations and IT equipment
  • Performs IT security trainings.

Requirements

  • Experience in working as an IT Support Specialist or other relevant position
  • Preferred degree or certification in information technology or computer science
  • Solid know-how of IT applications, systems٫ and troubleshooting
  • Very good knowledge of the following systems required: MS Windows (clients and server), Active Directory
  • Sound knowledge of virtualization (both client and server) and network administration (routing, switching, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting (Powershell, batch)
  • Confident handling of MS Office and modern communication media
  • Must have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
