About the Role:

Hy-Vee Food Stores is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Support Packing Specialist to join our team in our Pharmacy Fulfillment Center. As a Pharmacy Support Packing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our automated Central Fill Pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pack and ship prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Verify accuracy of prescription orders before packaging.
  • Work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
  • Prepare paperwork and compile medicine for delivery orders and mail-outs.
  • Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
  • Keep pharmacy supplies well-stocked.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
  • Ability to read computer-generated screens.
  • Visual requirements include vision at 20 inches or less with or without correction, field of vision, and color vision.
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions:

This position is exposed to noise on a daily basis. This is a fast-paced work environment in an office and warehouse setting with significant pressure.
