Job Description

The Technical Field Support Specialist will deliver expert assistance for specialized systems and product applications. Key responsibilities include: advanced diagnostics of software-driven electronics, setup of communication system infrastructure, and performance enhancement of RF and broadband architectures, encompassing legacy analog and advanced digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize and support intricate communication systems and software applications, including advanced diagnostics of software-driven electronics, setup of communication system infrastructure, and performance enhancement of RF and broadband systems.
  • Maintain, optimize, test, and document complex communication systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure optimal system functionality, focusing on trend analysis and documentation of findings.
  • Manage server hardware/OS and software infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting to resolve system/application-related issues.
  • Develop solutions for challenging technical problems encountered during system maintenance, upgrades, or support tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to effectively maintain, optimize, and support advanced communication systems that meet or exceed client expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Network+, CompTIA, or a related certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer networks, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
  • Understanding of RF, telecommunications, and wired communication systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
  • Knowledge of computer systems (including hardware, operating systems, and applications) and intermediate networking skills.
  • Skilled in using test equipment (e.g., T1 and Ethernet testers, antenna system analyzers, communication systems analyzers, spectrum analyzers, Cat 5 and Cat 6 cable testers, wattmeters, etc.).
  • Experience with logging and recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communication systems, and networking equipment.
  • Preferred experience with LTE or Private LTE systems, particularly Nokia systems, Juniper routers, and Aruba switches configuration.
  • Self-motivated and capable of rapidly learning new system types and technologies as they are introduced.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license with no traffic violations.
Additional Information:

This role requires the Technical Field Support Specialist to be present at customer sites regularly. The position involves physical demands, including the ability to lift and operate equipment.

Security Clearance:
This position necessitates obtaining a government security clearance within a specified timeframe after employment commencement.

Basic Requirements:
  • 8+ years of technical work experience.
  • Associate's degree, technical school certification, military training, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
