IT Infrastructure Engineer

Inceed has partnered with an innovative oil and gas company to help find a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This role will primarily focus on network design, firewall administration (specifically Palo Alto), Windows server support, Azure Active Directory administration, Office 365 management, and cybersecurity functions. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills across these areas and be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, modify, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Provide expert support for Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Administer Windows servers, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Manage and maintain Azure Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and permissions.
  • Administer Office 365 applications and services, ensuring uptime and availability.
  • Perform cybersecurity tasks such as email phishing assessments, reviewing security dashboards, email quarantining, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define and implement IT infrastructure projects and solutions.
  • Document systems, configurations, and processes thoroughly.
Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer, with specific knowledge of Cisco systems being advantageous.
  • Strong background in firewall administration, preferably with Palo Alto.
  • Proficiency in Windows server administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Office 365 administration and Azure Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management, ideally with Intune.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including email quarantining and vulnerability scanning.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) and SCADA systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar are desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
