We are in search of a driven and seasoned Civil Engineer to become a vital part of our organization. The successful applicant will take charge of the design, construction, and maintenance of utility infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in civil engineering, outstanding problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise the construction of utility infrastructure projects, including water and sewer systems, stormwater management systems, and roadways.
- Conduct site evaluations and inspections to ensure projects are executed in accordance with design specifications.
- Prepare and assess engineering designs, calculations, and schematics.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to guarantee timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Perform feasibility studies and cost assessments for prospective projects.
- Engage in the formulation of project proposals and bids.
- Ensure adherence to all pertinent regulations, codes, and standards.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices.
- Work alongside other departments to ensure effective project coordination and delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, ideally within the utility infrastructure domain.
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes, such as ASCE, AWWA, and ASTM.
- Willingness to travel for site evaluations and project meetings.
