Job Overview:

We are in search of a motivated and seasoned Civil Engineer to enhance our workforce. The successful applicant will take charge of the design, construction, and maintenance of utility infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust civil engineering background, outstanding problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to achieving superior outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and supervise the construction of utility infrastructure projects, encompassing water and sewer systems, stormwater management systems, and roadways.
  • Conduct site evaluations and inspections to confirm that projects adhere to design specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and assess engineering designs, calculations, and schematics.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
  • Carry out feasibility studies and cost assessments for prospective projects.
  • Engage in the formulation of project proposals and bids.
  • Ensure adherence to all pertinent regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to guarantee effective project coordination and delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, ideally within the utility infrastructure domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes, such as ASCE, AWWA, and ASTM.
  • Willingness to travel for site assessments and project discussions.
