About Monaire

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) in Small Commercial buildings in the US (and more worldwide) are operated inefficiently and fail without warning. Building owners and operators waste billions of dollars in utility bills, emergency repairs, downtime and food waste due to poor management of their HVAC/R. Tragically, these systems also generate the same amount of greenhouse gasses as 43 million gas cars and contribute significantly towards global warming.

Monaire is a technology enabled HVAC and Refrigeration management service for owners and operators of restaurants and gas stations. We help these small business owners save time and money by:

  • Reducing energy bills
  • Reducing HVAC and Refrigeration repair bills
  • Reducing food loss
  • Eliminating downtime
  • Saving owner/employee time managing repairs and breakdown
All managed entirely by Monaire

Monaire launched in Madison, WI in March 2022 and is currently servicing over 150 locations in Wisconsin. We have acquired these customers 100% via referrals - validating our product-market fit. This role presents an opportunity for you to lead sales in pursuit of scaling Monaire to 1000+ locations by the end of 2024.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will be responsible for creating new business sales opportunities for Monaire. BDR's will research restaurants and gas station convenience stores in their assigned territory. Through research and strategic outreach plans, you'll showcase how Monaire's solutions can fuel their success. Daily, you'll connect with potential clients through a mix of cold calls, emails, and social media engagement. BDR's have the opportunity to pursue more advanced sales roles at Monaire.

Requirements
Responsibilities

Proactively source and nurture high-potential leads and skillfully navigate the entire sales journey from initial outreach to closing deals:
  • Generate 3+ new business sales opportunities daily
  • Complete 50+ outreach activities daily
  • Research and prospect restaurants and gas station convenience stores in your territory
  • Coordinate new business meetings with Territory Account Executives
  • Strategize with sales leaders on their new business priorities
  • Use CRM to track and manage perspectives
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you must have

  • 1+ years of experience in a BDR role calling on small businesses
  • Understanding of operations in restaurants, gas station convenience stores or retail
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, and flexible
  • Strong work ethic and determination to succeed
  • Highly coachable and enjoys team collaboration
  • Naturally curious and resourceful
  • Previous sales or sales internship experience
  • Proficiency in using Zoho/SalesForce/Zendesk CRM platforms or a similar CRM platform.
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience with HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
  • Experience restaurant operations, or a relatable field and industry
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media strategies to promote customer solutions.
