Description

DIRECTOR of CLUB OPERATIONS MAIN DUTIES:

  • Oversee and direct Unit Directors to ensure they are performing their job responsibilities according to their job description, BGCFW Policies and Procedures, and State and Federal regulations.
  • Ensure staff understand and are capable of performing their job responsibilities.
  • Help staff develop and improve their skills and knowledge of their job and hold them accountable for reasonable improvements over time.
  • Ensure performance reviews are conducted by the Unit Directors of their employees during the month in which it is due and that an Individual Development Plan is developed and implemented for each employee.
  • Perform immediate redirection/correction/coaching of staff when needed to correct or improve staff performance.
  • Assure that proper and correct documentation of any disciplinary action is completed on time and submitted to Human Resources.
  • Ensure staff complete training and evaluations as required.
  • Ensure employees clock in and out in real-time according to Club policy.
  • As much as possible be aware of the needs and concerns of the staff.
  • Ensure volunteers and interns are properly supervised and provided positive experiences to grow and learn.
  • Ensure that Unit Directors maintain an orderly and clean Club appearance at all times.
  • Ensure the ongoing development of quality, motivated, and responsible staff and volunteers by:
  1. Working with Human Resources in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training staff.
  2. Working with Human Resources to handle employee complaints and grievances.
  3. Working with the Director of Programs and Human Resources to explore, develop, and organize training for skill and knowledge advancement.
  • Ensure Unit Directors oversee the implementation of Club activities according to the program schedule.
  • Ensure Unit Directors oversee and supervise staff implementation of the Five Key Elements of Youth Development.
  • Ensure Unit Directors make sure each staff demonstrates proficiency in their application of the Club programs.
  • Oversee direct reports and indirect reports (Clubs & Club Directors) by providing support, coaching and feedback, supervision, and guidance to effectively manage high-performing teams.
  • Create a culture to is founded on our vision and provide a work environment where people do their best work.
  • Lead in the hiring and onboarding of management staff.
  • Promote strong employee engagement and a commitment to career pathways and opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard professional development opportunities and expectations for staff.
  • Conduct regular club visits to observe programming and assess safety and risk.
Requirements

Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with management, staff,
  • parents/guardians and the community, including but not limited to parent orientation, parent informational meetings, disciplinary meetings, and ensuring parents are part of special club events.
  • Ability to manage your time productively and maintain an orderly work environment and classroom.
  • Know how to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for staff and members.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Know how to effectively set and enforce healthy boundaries for staff and members.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Management or Human Services related fields.
  • Two years experience working with children and adolescents.
  • At least 20 years of age
