Summary The candidate will report to Region One / Regional Administrator. In this position, you will provide support to the Office of the Regional Administrator in evaluating agency programs and addressing effectiveness issues. Typical assignments include: Functioning in a staff capacity to support the primary mission and operational programs of the agency or its organizational components. Delivering objectively-based information to managers to facilitate informed decisions regarding the administrative aspects of agency operations and the management of related processes. Conducting thorough policy analysis to assess the impact of existing and proposed regulations, providing recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and compliance. Offering expert advice to senior agency officials on conventional program review issues, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making. What else do I need to know? Qualifications Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Conducting analysis and evaluation of data to support project objectives, AND Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to the program, AND Coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with guidelines and timelines. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or at least three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a related field (Transcript required). OR Combination of specialized experience, as described in the vacancy announcement, and related graduate level education, beyond the first full year of graduate level study, that when combined, meet the qualification requirements for this position (Transcript required).
