The Care Coordinator reports to Union EAP Program Manager. Responsibilities: Administer the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to ensure timely access to counseling and support services for members and their eligible family members. Engage on the phone with people in need of support. Collaborate with Union EAP dispatchers to ensure immediate and best member assistance. Serve as the primary point of contact for members seeking assistance through the EAP, providing confidential intake, assessment, and referral services. Coordinate and schedule counseling appointments with qualified mental health professionals or external providers as needed. Follow policies and procedures in regard to workflow. Maintain accurate and confidential records of EAP interactions and services provided, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and company policies. Become a subject expert for topics related to mental health, stress management, family integration, and other relevant areas. Monitor trends and patterns in EAP utilization, identifying opportunities for program enhancement or expansion to better meet the needs of members. Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in employee assistance programs and mental health support services. Requirements Professional certification or licensure as a counselor, therapist or social worker, Experience in counseling, social services, or related field, with a focus on mental health support. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide empathetic and nonjudgmental support to individuals in distress. Knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and community resources for mental health support. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage confidential information in a responsible manner. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
