Market Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed analysis of the US oil markets: crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids. Monitor and analyze key market indicators, trends, and developments. Evaluate supply and demand factors, including production, consumption, imports, exports, and inventories. Prepare and deliver regular market reports, presentations, and briefings to internal and external customers. Industry Collaboration and Strategic Insights: Develop and maintain relationships with key industry participants, including producers, refiners, traders, and regulatory bodies to provide market insight and contribute to our products. Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to stay informed on market trends and developments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategy and business development efforts and ensure that our ground breaking research translates into business impact for LSEG. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering or Petroleum studies from a reputable university. A masters or technical specialization / certification would be an advantage. Proven 5+ years experience in energy market analysis, with a focus on the US oil market. Strong understanding of oil market fundamentals, including production, refining, transportation, and consumption. Knowledge of Python/ data tools and tchniques is preferred in order to query, interrogate and build models using massive data sets to help derive insights. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, Power BI (Power M, DAX) is a must. Strong grounding in statistics. Team player, with a flexible attitude and approach - ability to deliver in the team and individually. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to connect with individuals at various levels within the organization as well as external clients. Self driven, and advanced time management skills for handling multiple tasks, while completing work within allocated timeframes. Proven track record of delivering high-quality analytical products and insights. Knowledge of Eikon and Workspace is an advantage.
