This position is for an experienced procurement professional to manage daily Procurement activities in support of RTX Technology Research Center Goals.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An understanding of Procurement, strong negotiation skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Strong project and contract management skills and experience with government contracting and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) are preferred.
What You Will Do
  • Coordinate and execute procurement activities (i.e. place purchase orders, subcontracts) to support Program Office and RTRC Departments as assigned. This may include the procurement of capital equipment and the acquisition of materials, services, and supplies as required.
  • Preparation of Requests for Proposals/Information, perform cost analysis in support of proposals and negotiation strategies around pricing, service levels and terms and conditions.
  • Read and Interpret Broad Agency Announcements, Funding Opportunity Announcements, and determine requirements.
  • Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety the management of Laboratory Chemicals and Industrial Gases to ensure RTRC Chemical Database is properly maintained.
  • Manage Supply Chain Management projects in support of CORE and as assigned.
  • Preparation of Requests for Professional Services (subcontract agreements), lead negotiations of terms and conditions, and amendments as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional business relationships with subcontractors and internal customers
  • Performs Subrecipient Monitoring process to measure contract performance and ensure compliance to contract obligations
  • Incorporate continuous improvement principles into daily activities and actively engage in process improvement activities within and outside of the Procurement group.
The successful candidate will be:
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills, eager and capable of being held accountable for achievements of business objectives.
  • Be able to work independently and with diverse groups including Engineering, Program Management, Legal and Operations.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification You Must Have:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Procurement, Supply Chain Management experience. Bachelor's degree in business or related.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Government contracts experience.
  • SAP experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Tools
  • Experience in creation, negotiation and administration of contracts


Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
