Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the timely procurement of components and materials essential for servicing customer aircraft by effectively planning and forecasting requirements.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external suppliers to coordinate the acquisition of necessary materials.
  • Monitor and expedite the status of orders and purchase requests through effective communication with suppliers and inter-company operations.
  • Identify critical paths and prioritize tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Represent the department in meetings, addressing material-related challenges.
  • Maintain a shortage report to track orders and communicate updates to management.
  • Create and issue internal orders and relevant documentation to fulfill material requirements.
  • Provide insights to rectify discrepancies in orders and manage inventory effectively.
  • Generate new part numbers for site-specific components and liaise with internal suppliers for requests.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management through computerized systems and manual filing.
  • Determine priority items to guarantee timely delivery and accessibility of parts.
  • Manage the ordering and reordering of materials and tools in line with aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Identify alternative and superseded part numbers as necessary.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the aviation or materials environment, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in inventory planning and procurement.
  • APICS certification.
  • A bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Business, Inventory Management, or a related field.
