The Opportunity

This role is for Financial Analyst on the A&C team for Premix and Non Dairy Bioactives North America. This role will be core to supporting the integrity of the GN financial processes and financial information for GNNA. This will include taking a leading role in ensuring the successful integration of the Watson business into GNNA reporting. This role will be essential in the management of the month-end close cycle. Emphasis is on providing timely, relevant and accurate information in a dynamic environment, where accurate information is a key competitive advantage and essential in supporting operational and strategic decision-making. The role will also be responsible for the GNNA Balance Sheet, ensuring all Balance Sheet accounts are fully reconciled and the control environment is appropriate and robust to support the financial records. This will include liaising with central A&C, Commercial, Operations and Group Finance teams and both internal and external auditors. This permanent position will report to the Financial Controller.

  • Key player in the Watson business integration into GNNA reporting
  • Key player in the day to day running of the accounting and control function
  • Key player in developing the A&C team and incorporating optimization efforts in the team
  • Support the month end close process for GNNA Company code with associated reporting and controls
  • Play a lead role in coordinating the BCS close process ensuring group deadlines are met
  • Support the Finance Controller in consolidation of monthly actual results and feed into the monthly reporting process led by the GN consolidation team
  • Play a role in ensuring that the required accounting control procedures are in place and are effective. This includes the control and reconciliation of the GNNA Balance Sheet in line with the Balance Sheet responsibility matrix
  • Support the Internal and external audits and effort in ensuring compliance with Glanbia accounting policies, including internal controls
  • Liaise with Group Finance functions to ensure compliance and alignment with Group policies and expectations around risk management
  • Support the financial planning process and associated reporting requirements
  • Support financial process and systems improvement activity ensuring all GN financial planning and reporting process are optimized and aligned with overall GN reporting structures
  • Cross-train with Group Finance, SAP/FICO teams, other analysts and feed learnings back to the GNNA team
The Skills you will bring to the team
  • Professional Accounting qualification (or working towards accounting qualification)
  • 0-2 years PQE with a large multinational or Top 10 practice background
  • Strong financial acumen including strong technical accounting skills. Must possess a broad business perspective and have a 'hands-on' and in-depth understanding of the GN financials
  • Strong collaborative and management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross functional matrix organization
  • Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
