HR Coordinator, Strategic Workforce Partnerships

The HR Coordinator, Strategic Workforce Partnerships is responsible for the stewardship of a variety of the organization's external workforce partnerships. In ongoing collaboration with the organizational recruitment team's staffing initiatives and department level stakeholders, the primary duties include to facilitate the successful partnerships and programs that are focused on the selection, onboarding and reporting/tracking of agency temp staff, contractors, student interns and volunteers for Sheppard Pratt. Serves as the point of contact for agency temp requests and volunteer, student and intern placement within assigned programs. Responsible for maintaining and updating the external relationships and partnership agreements that go along with these strategic staffing resources.
Responsibilities:
Plays a key supportive role in the screening and onboarding arrangements for agency temp
staffing, student, and volunteer needs.
• Reviews applications and conducts phone screens of candidates.
•Collaborate with the recruitment team with staffing efforts.
•Verification of key pre-start checks and verifications prior to an agency temp's start date with the
organization.
•Coordinates and communicates onboarding appointments for new students, volunteers,
contractors and agency temps.
Coordinates volunteer, student, and intern opportunities and placements for assigned programs .
•Functions as the point person for organizational managers, schools, and inquiries regarding
volunteer, student and intern opportunities for assigned programs.
•Coordinates all communication, appropriate assignments, administrative details, and hand-off for
on-boarding. Follows up to respond to questions and resolve issues that arise.
•Oversees timekeeping and reporting for volunteers, and interns.
•May assist with advertising and job postings. Handles details related to ads and associated
billing.
•Creates new and updates existing job posting templates that adhere to organizational branding
standards. Serves as the point of contact for career fairs for assigned programs and represents the
organization at the events.
•Collaborates with the internal recruitment team to arrange representation and coverage by
recruiters and SP program managers.
Handles agency temp arrangements for assigned programs. •Submits requests and coordinates arrangements for agency temp staff assignments to meet the
organization's contingent staffing needs.
•Researches to verify the justification and budget approval for agency temp requests before acting
on them.
•Establishes, maintains, and cultivates positive relationships with temporary agency partners.
•Serves as the main point of contact with temp agencies. Facilitates the discussion around buy-out
arrangements and details as directed.
•Once a placement is made, will maintain ongoing communication with organizational contacts to
ensure these staffing placements are beneficial and meeting expectations.
Requirements:
Position requires Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field of
study. Additional 4 years of HR experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree; APHR
certification preferred.
Work requires 6-12 months of related HR experience - which includes the ability to:
effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
compose clear communications;
utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint with proficiency;
demonstrate working knowledge of employment laws and practices, practices, and procedures;
demonstrate attention to accurate detail and timely follow through in past work experience.
ability to function independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with an electronic applicant tracking system is preferred.
