My client has over 30+ years of experience in the medical device industry creating custom components used across the market. This client is a growing company expanding into aerospace, and education applications with a focus on high quality products and excellent customer experiences.

Description

  • Lead or contribute to the development of new products, processes, or applications related to custom materials.

  • Design and optimize products or components to meet specific performance, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

  • Conduct experiments and tests to characterize the properties of custom materials, such as thermal stability, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and electrical properties.

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for producing products, including extrusion, molding, coating, and machining processes.

  • Build prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate the performance and reliability of new products or processes under various conditions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure alignment of R&D activities with business goals and customer requirements.

  • Ensure that R&D activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines, such as those related to chemical handling, environmental impact, and product safety.

Profile

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Ideally Mechanical).
  • Experience in plastic part fabrication techniques
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Higher
  • Ability to use 3D CAD Software
  • Experience with CNC Machining, CMM programming software
  • Ability to lift 30-50lbs without help of equipment
  • Ability to work in manufacturing conditions (High Heat, Humidity)
